Dems Pick

Last updated 20:43 EDT, Friday, August 22

Despite this report, Bayh and Kaine are out, according to MSNBC.com

Whatever.  If he waits until tomorrow, most Americans won’t be tuning in anyway.  Good night.

Is it Sen. Ben Nelson?  If you go to http://www.obamanelson.com it points to the Obama site.  Hmm, but of course, if you own the site you can have it forward to anywhere.

It’s one thing to build excitement, but it’s another to announce your pick either on a Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, which is usually a dumping ground for political news a politician doesn’t want you to see.  Besides that, it is arguably the next-to-last weekend of the summer which means most will not be watching, despite Obama thinking that yes, indeed the world revolves around him.

Now, not Hillary

Is it Rep. Chet Edwards of TX, and would this be the worse pick since ‘88 when Bush Senior selected Quayle? Nah, Edwards just held a press conference to say that the pick is not him.

Gov. Kaine isn’t the one.

Andrea Michell says that it is Biden

Intrade Predictions:  Biden is surging, 50.0

Jim Geraghty is STILL hearing lots about …. Hillary

Obama knows his Vice Presidential pick, but the masses won’t know until later, so says the Democratic nominee-to-be.  Hopefully, news will leak today…

Meanwhile, the New York Daily News wants the ticket to be Obama-Clinton, shouting Hillary! Hillary! Hillary!

Kristol wonders aloud if it is Obama-Reed

First Thoughts: All about Hillary :(

Quiet on the VP front right now.  GOPer concerned that Obama’s pick is Hillary….

Jim Geraghty is hearing lots about …. Hillary

Nashville Post:  Bayh?

Intrade Predictions:  Biden (40.0 down 9.8), Bayh (25.0 up 12.5), Kaine (22.0 up 9)

RedState.com thinks that it is Kaine.

In 2000, it was Gore-Lieberman.  What a difference one administration and a War Against Terror can do.
Joe Lieberman to speak at GOP convention.

Washington is buzzing that Obama’s pick is likely Joe Biden, although Ralph Nader says no, it is going to be Hillary Clinton.

If not Clinton, what about Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

Not to be outdone, the Palmetto Scope feels that it is Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine.

At this late hour date, is it safe to narrow the list finally to Biden, Sebelius, Kaine, Indiana’s Evan Bayh or HRC?

Have to admit, Obama team is keeping a tight lip on this one.
