No change:  The GOPNation.com Average of five national tracking polls remains 49.6 to 44.4, heading into the second-to-last weekend to the election.
Gallup. An average of its ‘likely voter’ polls remains 50-46 Obama.
Hotline, however now shows a 50-40 Obama lead.  Yikes.
Early tracking:  Obama leads - Battleground +4, Rasmussen +4, Zogby +5. Awaiting revised Gallup and Hotline.

No go.  McCain’s gains from this weekend are gone.  Today’s count: Obama 50.4, McCain 42.8.
Obama up by 13? The latest GW/Battleground poll now has Obama/Biden up by 13 points.  Yesterday, they had a 8 point lead in this poll.  So far, the other tracking polls do not show the same jump for the Dems.

Stocks rise steady.  Now is the time for McCain to strike for one last time.  Numbers need to turn around somewhat between now and the debate and on Wednesday night the GOP candidate needs to be clear and precise as to why he is a better choice than Dear Leader.

Friday Fears

McCain closes the week down 7.8 percent in the GOPNation Average, 49.8 to 42.
Battleground Poll: Obama 338, McCain 200.  Missouri goes back to McCain today.  In a bit of good news, this is McCain’s best showing since September 30th.
