CURRENT COUNT HAS GOP WITH 48 SEATS COME JANUARY 2011
With Scott Brown almost certain to join the U.S. Senate later this week as the GOP’s 41st member, the road ahead is still going to be tough for the minority party to regain the majority in November.
In our latest Senate analysis, we now see the Democrats retaining their majority with 52 seats, versus 48 for the GOP.

While I am still concerned about Democrats (with the help of ACORN) stealing this one from us, I am making the following prediction:
Brown wins with 53 percent of the vote.
The victory will be more than enough to not force a recount and hence, call him Senate-elect Scott Brown sometime tonight.

So, now the president is going to get combative. Bring it on, Mr. President.
Rather than be humbled by the race they are about to lose in Massachusetts, the good folks at Politico are reporting that President Obama will give a “combative response” to a likely GOP victory tonight in the Bay State.

For Obama, divided government is best
If Barack Obama was Bill Clinton, he would hope for GOP victories tomorrow in Massachusetts and nationally in November. After all, when the GOP took over both Houses of Congress in 1994, Democrat Clinton’s reelection chances for 1996 became that much better.
