Rasmussen: Romney/Obama tied.
This post was published 7 months 24 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.New reports from Rasmussen tell the story: despite all of the love the president is getting from the liberals in this country, we remain basically a 50/50 nation and will be in looking ahead to 2012.
Against Mitt Romney, the president ties the former Massachusetts governor 45-45.
Against Sarah Palin, Obama leads 48-42.
To add intrigue to the data, Rasmussen gives another hypothetical: Palin running for president as an independent. The count:
Obama 44, Romney 33, Palin 16.
Clearly, the Dems would love to see Palin jump the party and run against both parties.
Meanwhile, Obama remains near his record low approval rating in daily tracking poll which sees 30% of the public strongly approving of the president’s job performance, while 37 percent strongly disapprove. This give Obama a -7 President Approval Index rating, which ties his second worst showing since being elected president in November.
