The 2nd Debate

Barack Obama and John McCain meet in a townhall type debate tonight, in what is likely McCain’s last shot to close the gap with the Democratic front-runner.  While some polls show a tightening race, McCain will need a TKO to really remain competitive.  My biggest question heading into tonight is this: will McCain bring up the name Bill Ayers or the Weatherman?  If he does, and depending on how Obama reacts, it could be a very good night for the GOP nominee.  If, however, McCain remains cordial, it’s pretty much over, folks. McCain-Palin are circling the drain right now, and now is certainly not the time to play nice to a man so unfit to be president, as one Barack Hussein Obama.

Show Me

Missouri has been ‘right’ about each presidential eleciton since 1904, except for one (1956).  Until yesterday, this state has been casting a nice dark shade of red.  Unfortunately, as the stock market has tanked and the economy has taken center stage, even here Obama has take a slight lead.  If McCain cannot win here, his changes are over.  Hopefully newer polling will show Missouri moving right once again.

Where are they?

Barack Obama and John McCain are in Nashville, TN today for the debate.

Sarah Palin is campaigning in Florida

Joe Biden is has no public appearances today.
